Writing down the things you are grateful for each night has been all the rage lately. I’m sure you’ve seen it popping up in journals and planners, not to mention gratitude books focused entirely on gratitude.
I don’t know about you but when I hear gratitude, I think of BIG things like having a roof over my head, food in my fridge or having a healthy family.
How many times can I list that in my journal before it’s ridiculously monotonous?
I’m here to share with you a word hack that will change the way you think of gratitude journaling.
The GOOD list!
That’s right stop trying to list all you are grateful for and start a good list. It’s basically the same thing but with a slight twist. I’m always thankful and grateful for the good in my life, but rarely do I focus on them.
I recently started making a Good List each day. I try to make sure I can list at least three things that were good every day. When you are seeking out the good each day magic HAPPENS, you start SEEING more good!
You attract what you focus on, so choose wisely.
My Good list for Sunday August 1, 2020
- My iced cold tea infusion that I’m on sipping right now is full of micro-nutrients and vitamins to help me stay on top of my game each day. This tea is soooo good and so easy to make. Leave your email in the comments if you would like the recipe.
- My mother in law who is watching some of my kids today while I take my oldest to get her hair dyed.
- The rain, because out newly planted fruit trees need it so badly.
- The sun shining through my window illuminating this gifted plant while I work.
I’m going to try this word hack with my kids in the next few weeks when we pull out our gratitude journals then turn them into Good List journals.
I would love your feedback if you give this a try.
