Helping Kids Cope With the World Right Now

There is a lot of heavy in the world right now. Not only has this virus completely changed the world, things just keep piling up. If ya’ll have been watching the news and keeping up on current events, you know exactly what I am talking about.

It’s a lot for adults to take in, let alone children. I recently purchased the daily meditation book Journey to the Heart by Melody Beattie to center my thoughts and focus on what I can control. I cannot recommend this book enough. I recently gifted it to a friend who shared with me that she has enjoyed reading it with her children each morning.

I know my children has been paying attention to the world, they hear conversations at the dinner table, see social media posts and hear their friends talk about it. They may not fully grasp what’s going on but they know things are not okay, and I have been at a loss on how to help them cope with all these worldly changes.

Children don’t always show fear and anxiety in the same ways adults do. Sometimes they act out, in strange and unusual ways. Not even sure themselves that they need some guidance and help.Children are very resilient, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t need some help along the way.

I have sat in bed, unable to sleep and quiet my own mind these last few weeks. So naturally, I found myself on Amazon scrolling and searching for an answer. I’m not sure how I ended up finding these books below but after reading the through the reviews, I decided to finally click that BUY NOW button over the weekend after they sat in my cart for days.

It can’t hurt right?

My children ages: six, ten, twelve and fourteen are still living at home, my nineteen year old lives off campus. I needed a variety of books geared for different ages. You can click the links below to read more and purchase them for your own family.

The art book and the Bloom book will be used for all four of my children.
